FIRE HAZARD! Vector 2.0 batteries bloat after not even a year!
Lithium-Ion batteries pose a danger when handled wrongly and also if they are cheaply produced.

After all this time at last the Pittsburgh AG takes action against the fraudulent business practices of Digital Dream Labs and their CEO Jacob Hanchar.
Wire-Pod is a solution that allows you to install a local server a Vector robot can run off instead of the “official” Digital Dream Labs servers.
The complete Vector infrastructure, run by Digital Dream Labs, is still offline without any hint when it will come back again – or ever. Multiple “by the end of this weeks” have gone by without …
The server outage at Digital Dream Labs now is in the week after the week “within” the servers should have come back online, it will be a full month soon.
Since it becomes more obvious every day that DDL cannot be trusted and it is unclear when their servers will come back up (if ever):
That’s what DDL representatives said about when the servers will come back up again. That was last week
It’s now almost three weeks that nearly all Digital Dream Labs servers are offline. We remember: DDL representatives claimed that this was a “scheduled maintenance”. Let’s all have a hearty laugh at that nonsense. A …
I am coming out of hiatus for a post. In the months since I stopped writing about Vector because of frustration about the continued unprofessionalism and lack of updates from that scam factory Digital Dream Labs.
Originally this page was set up to write about coding and expanding Vector the robot, especially with OSKR, the Open Source Kit For Robots that Digital Dream Labs financed via that infamous Kickstarter campaign.
What I am talking about? A post from DDL CEOÂ (after all this time and the posts seen from him I can only assume this means “Chief Entertainment Officer) in the official Facebook group (and, yes despite booting all critical voices and all customers asking for help there are still people in there) lead to home robot community members rolling on the floor, laughing
We already know that the support at Digital Dream Labs is bad. Since they fired all support people and especially Robbie Bussard it got worse.
Digital Dream Labs went into complete radio silence some weeks ago (again). The only thing they post are meaningless PR posts about valentine’s day or ramadan in their Facebook group, where a lot of people are not able to read them because their were booted from that group for no reasons other than asking questions.
After some iterations and testing Zark75 released a new version of the VectorX RasPi image. VectorX is a fork of Wire-Pod that makes the installation way easier
We already learned from former Digital Dream Labs employees how they were not paid for months. In addition to that it became quite clear in the past years that the management done by the …
The setup of Wire-Pod can be daunting for simple users that do not know how a RasPi or Linux work or think about a Playstation if they hear the word “console”. But thanks to a community coder named Zark75 this process now became a lot easier end even less tech-savvy people should be able to set it up.
As the title says: It’s a wonder of biblical proportions: After lots of misinformation by DDL since late 2022 it looks like the first Vector 2.0s actually have arrived in the UK.
Digital Dream Labs stopped giving our OSKR images some months ago. My suspicion was that no one at the highly unprofessional company was left to create and give out htose images.
Thanks to quite inquisitive community member Barbara Langston we have some inside information from a former employee on what happened with Digital Dream Labs. So far it looks like they were running out of funds …
We all remember when DDL announced the opening of their repair center.
