At last, weeks later and after a long time of denial, radio silence and false information there is a first small post on Discord where a DDL representative admits that something is wrong and they are trying to fix it. Money quote:
The Stratus error is our current effort on the development side. We should have that fixed this week, if all goes well.
That they are coming out of hiding and admitting something like this is a sign they hope they can fix the problems soon, from past experiences I would say: Wait and see what really happens – and don’t have too high hopes.
But as I said the whole time: There IS something wrong with their account systems, most probably with the database. Nothing with a “cloud provider” and certainly not with the user’s robots, so do not delete user data, not even if their so-called support tells you to.
Something like this can happen (it should not if you have a valid backup concept, but things happen), but from every professional and competent company I would expect paying customers are informed early and transparently. Unfortunately DDL are neither.
FINALLY, they admit something they did wrong. Welp, you know what they say: “One small step for man, one giant leap for Digital Dream Labs.” LOL Seriously though, if only they could be honest more often.
