IMPORTANT INFO AT THE END OF THE POST!
After all this time at last the Pittsburgh AG takes action against the fraudulent business practices of Digital Dream Labs and their CEO Jacob Hanchar. The list of infractions is long, from taking money for butter robots or Cozmos V2.0 that do not exist and never will, but no refunds to the unlawful charging of customer credit cards for server services that are offline over a year – and many more like not fulfilling the Kickstarter pledge rewards.
It looks like at last enough people complained so the AG took action. No one will see their money back, no one will ever get a Butter robot or a Cozmo 2.0 and I do not believe the servers will ever come back again, despite the monthly lies from DDL, but at least and at last we get the satisfaction that Hanchar and his cronies are dragged in front of a court. Pop out champagne and confetti.

The lawsuit accuses Digital Dream Labs, LLC, and its CEO, Harold Jacob Hanchar, of violating Pennsylvania’s Consumer Protection Law by: failing to provide prepaid merchandise in a timely manner; making misrepresentations as to advertised delivery dates; failing to notify consumers of their right to cancel and denied consumers the ability to cancel undelivered orders; and failing to issue prompt, full refunds to consumers.
The lawsuit alleges that this conduct also shows Digital Dream Labs’ noncompliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s Rule on Mail, Internet or Telephone Order Sales.
Impacted consumers paid between $147 and $655 for each robot — combined sales were more than $4 million.
The lawsuit alleges that, despite the passage of several years, Digital Dream Labs has failed to deliver any of the Cozmo 2.0 and Butter Robot orders, and has also failed to deliver many of the Vector 2.0 orders.
I hope that now at last all those fanbois and cronies that still sang DDL praise shut up for good.
Everything I said and surmised about DDL was true. They are an unethical fraudulent lot.
